We recommend taking the Catalina Express boat which goes from the Downtown Catalina Landing (320 Golden Shore, Long Beach) to Avalon in 1 hour, costs $42 round trip, and offers a very comfortable ride. Because of the limited boat schedule, please plan to stay Wednesday night on the island (the conference will be scheduled accordingly). Other transportation options are also available, but are limited or much more expensive.

Note: Reservations are required on the Catalina Express and due to higher travel security measures, all persons boarding boats for Catalina Island must have a photo ID with them when boarding.

Long Beach Harbor is accessible from Long Beach Airport (7 miles) , John Wayne Airport (21 miles), and Los Angeles Airport (24 miles).
